Day 27: Costumes

I considered writing a poetic piece on how everyone wears masks in their day to day life.

I decided against it, because if it is one thing my bachelors degree in Sociology taught me, it is that masks and costumes are often an overused trope that needs a far deeper dive than what I’m willing to do here.

So, instead, I’m going to leave you with this - A reminder that no matter what you wear, metaphorically or literally, remember to treat the person under all those layers with love. Don’t be afraid to look at yourself when you’re naked and free of all the trappings. Be honest. Be kind. No matter what you look like. No matter if you don’t meet your own expectations.

     Love yourself. You’re worth it.
